While veteran striker Robert Lewandowski leads the league with 21 goals and is more than likely to add to his tally here, it’s Brazilian forward Raphinha who seems to be the creative glue that holds Barca’s attack together.
Raphinha’s 25th goal of the season sealed a 1-0 win over Benfica in midweek, and since he has developed a habit of getting Barca’s first goal, it wouldn’t be surprising if he opens the scoring again in this one.
Fatigue could be a slight concern for Hansi Flick’s side after their midweek exertions, but with the depth of quality in his squad, the German should have no trouble rotating his team while still fielding a side more than capable of taking care of Osasuna.
Osasuna may have won the reverse fixture 4-2, but they haven’t won a single game since early February. With just one victory and seven goals scored in 12 away games this season, a trip to face the league leaders in this kind of form doesn’t look promising for them.
Much will hinge on how much service Ante Budimir, who has 14 goals this season, receives in dangerous areas. But even then, Los Rojillos are still likely to come away empty-handed.
